We are thankful for the professional development opportunity provided to our elementary teachers today! As they spent the day learning from literacy expert Katie Garner, they were immersed in the latest best practices for teaching reading and phonics to our students. Building on the progress already made, the elementary team has continued to incorporate the evidenced-based teaching tool, Secret Stories, into their curriculum over the past few years.
