Kicking off Red Ribbon and Halloween week with a throwback to last week! We had 4th Grade IXL winners: Riya Patel & Daleyza Acosta Endurance Federal Credit Union had sponsored a pumpkin art drawing competition a few weeks back. The 2nd Place winner ended up being 6th Grader Elizabeth Snyder! Mountain Man's Attendance Award Winners: 4th Grade: Mrs. James' class 5th Grade: Ms. Sanders/Mrs. Burton's class 6th Grade: Mrs. Cloud's class The One Church Teacher of the Week was Mrs. Sanders. She has made our campus better the minute she stepped foot on it. She is consistently leading engaging lessons. She allows data to shape her instruction and makes sure all students are growing. A recap of last week! We had 4th Grade IXL winners: Riya Patel & Caleb Cook We also had Endurance Federal Credit Union that sponsored a pumpkin art drawing competition. We are so fortunate that Mrs. Ball joined our team last year. She does so many different things and keeps her classroom lively as a result! There is never a time to be bored because there is always something fun going on! She makes writing enjoyable to the students and incorporates a vast number of redirects to ensure that the students stay on task. The students adore her, evident by the fact that they all hopped in to take the picture with her. Congrats once again to Mrs. Ball!

There was so much to celebrate last week at ECIS! First we celebrated 5th Grade IXL winners for ELA: Andre Foster & Anik Patel We were then able to honor the September and October Lions Cubs of the Month: Julian Syribouth & Halle Shockey (September) Gatlin Brittain & Serenity Miller (October) We recognized members of the 4th grade youth football team as well as the 5th/6th grade team. They both have had outstanding seasons thus far! Also, the latest Mountain Man award winners for attendance: 4th Grade: Mrs. Dunn's class 5th Grade: Ms. Soto's class 6th Grade: Mrs. Pollard's class The One Church Staff of the Week was our custodians! October 2nd was National Custodians Day and we were so glad that we could recognize them. Mrs. Dolores, Mrs. Daniella and Mrs. Gloria are the absolute best! They work so hard for ALL of our students and teachers. They take care of us and make sure our campus is always so well maintained. More information for 5th and 6th Grade Band Students: This Thursday, August 22nd is our Annual Band Ice Cream Social. Come to the Pioneer Center Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. for ice cream and information. This is an informal family event and all members of the family are invited. The High School Band students will perform some of their 2024 show selections and our Band Booster officers will offer information on how you can become a member.
